While the on-field battles for the cup begin on Saturday, the off-field college rivalry will begin a little earlier on Friday 2 August, when 700 college rugby supporters kick off the ST Joseph’s Cup launch at a pre-game luncheon at its new home in 2019 – Howard’s Hall, Howard Smith Wharves.

Venue: Howard’s Hall, Howard Smith Wharves
Time: 11.30am with seating from 12 noon – 3.30pm
Cost: $1800 per table of 10 – includes 2 course lunch, sparkling wine, premium beers and quality bottled wines.

The launch and luncheon will draw plenty of past and present rugby greats from both colleges, MC Greg Martin is back and will be working hard to ensure a balanced debate ensues when all guest speakers take to the stage to provide insights into likely winners of the 2019 ST Joseph’s Rugby Cup.

The lunch will also continue its tradition to talk all other rugby – Club, Super 15 and World Cup – and in 2019 we acknowledge ‘the real backbone’ of the competition – the College rugby community.
